The company is seeking to hire a hands-on Technical Service Engineer (m/f/d) as part of its strategic expansion in the Romanian e paper chemicals market to support this growth initiative. This role will be instrumental in establishing and strengthening customer relationships through technical expertise and on-site support.

Driven by its expansion strategy, the company is investing in a dedicated technical service presence close to key customers in the paper and tissue industry. The objective is to accelerate customer acquisition, ensure successful product implementation, and deliver high-quality technical support directly at the mill level.

Description

  • Execute and coordinate on-machine trials for chemical applications (e.g., Yankee coatings, release agents, enzymes)
  • Operate and adjust dosing systems, pumps, and feed equipment during trials
  • Optimize application parameters such as feed rates, dilution levels, and add-on quantities
  • Troubleshoot process issues including coating adhesion, sheet pick, moisture balance, creping quality, and machine efficiency
  • Conduct regular service visits to customer mills, including equipment inspections and performance monitoring
  • Collect and analyze samples (e.g., viscosity, pH, surface properties) and coordinate laboratory testing when required
  • Prepare structured reports on trials, service visits, and performance data
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders (Sales, R&D, global technical teams)
  • Track chemical consumption, inventory levels, and forecast customer demand
  • Support sales activities by identifying process improvements and additional application opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with operators, engineers, and decision-makers at customer sites
  • Coordinate logistics, equipment delivery, and product availability with internal and external partners

Your Profile

  • Degree or technical background in chemical engineering, pulp & paper, mechanical engineering, industrial chemistry, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in paper mill operations, tissue production, chemical applications, or process engineering
  • Hands-on experience working on paper machines and related equipment (e.g., Yankee dryers, spray systems, dosing units)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role with high travel frequency across Romania
  • Proficient language skills in Romanian and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder interaction
  • High level of reliability, accountability, and safety awareness
  • Valid driver’s license
